Web design for local businesses that want to be found first
I'm Garrett, a software engineer in Hollister, and I work AI native. I design and build your site, set it up so Google and AI assistants can read it, and stay on to keep it current. You deal with me, not an account manager.

What a weak website costs a local business
People check you out before they call
Someone hears about you, searches your name and decides in a few seconds. A dated, slow or half-finished site loses that call before you know it happened.
You're missing when they search without your name
When people search for what you do in your town, Google and AI assistants like ChatGPT pick a few businesses to show. A site with no service pages and no local detail gives them nothing to pick.
Nobody looks after it
It was built once and never touched. The hours are wrong, the person who built it is gone, and changing a phone number takes three emails.
What changes when the site is built to be found
I build one page for each thing you sell and each place you work, so a search for what you do in your town lands on a page about exactly that. After launch the monthly plan keeps it going: hosting, updates, a weekly search report and new content picked from your own Search Console numbers.
Here is one client, measured. Limo Scene is a local transportation company, and its new domain started at zero in Search Console on April 30, 2026. Google now shows it for hundreds of different searches, and its quote form brings in 15 to 20 requests a month, about 60% of them from Google search.
My own account, not a measurement: before the new site, Limo Scene paid for listings in a couple of cities and got about one form submission every month or two. The quote requests now are high value, and the people sending them are ready to buy. The slow part is how fast a finalized quote goes back. The goal is leads so ready that an immediate reply gets a yes.
Measured results from one client: Limo Scene
Limo Scene is a local transportation company. August peaked with Monterey Car Week, so clicks and impressions have been lower since. Position stayed improved. This is one client, and clicks, impressions and form submissions are not revenue. Your numbers depend on your market, and I can't promise a result.

How it works
Estimated timeline Usually 2 to 3 weeks once I have your content
Larger or more custom builds usually take 4 to 8 weeks. I quote the timeline with the scope.
Step 1: Tell me about the business
Fill in the short form. It takes about a minute. I ask what you sell, where you work and who you want to hear from. If you have a site, I look at it. I reply within 24 hours.
Day 1
Step 2: I plan the pages
You get a page list: one page for each service, one for each place you work. For a rebuild I pick what is worth keeping from the old site.
Week 1
Step 3: I build it, you review it
Custom-coded, fast on phones, local SEO on every page. You look at a working version and tell me what to change. On a rebuild, your current site stays live until the new one is reviewed and ready.
Weeks 1 to 3
Step 4: Launch, then keep going
I set up Search Console and Analytics, submit the sitemap and go live. The monthly plan starts: updates, a weekly report and new content.
Launch, then every month
What's in every build
A custom-coded site
Not a template or a page builder. Fast on phones, and you own the content and the design.
A page for each service
So a search for roof repair lands on a page about roof repair, not on your home page.
Built for Google and AI search
Page titles and descriptions, clear headings, clean URLs, schema markup and a sitemap, plus plain answers to common questions. SEO is built into every site I build and kept up by the monthly plan. The SEO and AI search page is for sites I didn't build and for showing up in AI answers.
Analytics and Search Console
Google Analytics and Search Console are connected, so you can see who finds the site and what they search.
A quote or contact form
Short, easy on a phone. You are notified the moment it's sent, and the sender gets an automatic reply.
Hosting and a monthly plan
Secure hosting with SSL, plus on-page SEO upkeep, a weekly search report and a direct line to me. The first months are included in the build price.
Quick, and thorough
You'll be surprised at how quick and how thorough the work is.
I'm a software engineer, and I'm AI native. I write the code myself and use AI where it speeds the work up, and I check the details a template would miss. You get a custom-coded site from someone who answers you directly.

What it costs
Starter is a small site at a low price. Essential, Growth and Authority are custom builds sized by how many locations and pages you need. Each custom build comes with a monthly plan for hosting, SEO upkeep, reporting and content. Already on Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or GoDaddy? Moves off those start at $1,500.

- From $150/mo
- Professional email
- Professional email (Google Workspace) set up with your site. Google bills the per-user fee to you directly, never marked up.
- Billed by Google
New builds and rebuilds include the first 2 months of the monthly plan in the build price. A move off Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or GoDaddy includes the first month. After the included months, website plans are month to month. A content piece is a blog post, a new or expanded service or city page, or an FAQ page, picked from market and trend research (your Search Console numbers and what AI assistants say about your market) so each one is aimed at the customers you want. Every Essential, Growth and Authority plan is measured and reported every week. No one can honestly guarantee a ranking or an AI recommendation, and Google says so itself.
Questions people ask
How long does a website take?
Most small business sites take 2 to 3 weeks from when I have your content. Larger or more custom projects take 4 to 8 weeks. A Starter site is usually live in about a week once I have your photos, menu and details. The slowest part is almost always getting the content to me.
Do I own my website?
Yes. On a custom-coded site you own all the content and design. If you ever move to another host, I'll help with the move. A site built on Wix or Squarespace sits on their platform, under your plan with them.
How much does it cost?
A Starter site is from $2,000. Custom builds start at $3,000 for a new build and $2,500 for a rebuild, with the monthly plan at $300, $400 or $500 depending on the tier. The tier follows how many locations and pages you need. Essential is 1 location, up to 6 pages, Growth is up to 4 locations, up to 14 pages, and Authority is up to 7 locations, up to 25 pages. Those are starting prices.
What is the difference between a new build, a rebuild and a replatform?
A new build starts from nothing and is for businesses with no site, or a site not worth keeping. A rebuild keeps the content, page structure and search history worth keeping from your current site and puts them on a new custom-coded foundation. A replatform moves your existing content as-is, with no redesign and no new copy, off a builder like Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or GoDaddy and onto a custom-coded site you own. That is why it starts lower, at $1,500.
What does the monthly plan cover?
Hosting and uptime, ongoing on-page SEO work (page updates and incremental improvements), an automated weekly search performance report, a monthly report on rankings and where to improve, a direct line to me by call or message, 2 hours of support a month, and content pieces: 1 a month on Essential, 2 on Growth, 3 on Authority. Authority also gets priority turnaround on change requests. Google Business Profile setup and upkeep are add-ons, and ad spend is separate.
What is a content piece?
A blog post, a new or expanded service or city page, or an FAQ page. I pick each one from market and trend research: your Search Console numbers and what AI assistants say about your market. The goal is a page aimed at customers you want, not filler.
Can I leave the monthly plan?
Yes. After the included months the plan is month to month. You own your content and design, and I'll help you move the site if you leave.
I'm on Wix or Squarespace. Do I have to move?
No. They work for some businesses, and a Starter site can be built on either one so you can edit it yourself. The limits are page speed, which builders cap, and schema markup, which is often locked behind add-ons. If those matter to you, a move off Wix, Squarespace, Webflow or GoDaddy starts at $1,500 and puts your content on a custom-coded site you own.
Can you get me to number one on Google?
I can't promise that, and no honest person can. Google says no one can guarantee a first-place ranking, and that sites which follow its guidelines are more likely to show up, not certain to. What I can do is build the site properly, keep it current, and report what is happening every week: the work done, your Search Console numbers and the leads that came in.
Do you work outside Hollister?
Yes. Web design is done remotely, and I build for businesses across the Central Coast, from Gilroy and Morgan Hill to Salinas, Monterey and Santa Cruz. Financial advisors and other remote-only businesses can be anywhere in the US.
