Web Design for Murfreesboro, TN Businesses

Murfreesboro added about 15,500 people between April 2020 and July 2024. I build fast, custom-coded websites that help a Rutherford County business get found by them. I work remotely from Hollister, California, at the same prices as everywhere else.

  • One price list, no out-of-state markup
  • In business since 2020

What gets missed in a city that keeps growing

  • New residents have no one to ask

A family that moved to Murfreesboro last spring has no plumber, electrician or lawn crew yet. They search, and they pick from what they find. If your site has no page for the job they need, they never see you.

  • A young town and a university

The median age in Murfreesboro was 31.9 at the 2020 census, and Middle Tennessee State University is in town. A form that takes a minute suits a tenant or a landlord who wants to describe a problem at midnight and hear back in the morning.

  • A license customers can check

Rutherford is one of nine Tennessee counties where the home improvement license applies. Someone comparing three roofing or landscaping sites can see which one shows a license number and which one doesn't.

What a Murfreesboro customer finds on your site

One page for each job you do and one short quote form. A landlord with a no-heat call opens the repair page, types the unit address and what's wrong, and marks it urgent. You get it by email, with the details you need to dispatch someone.

A landscaper's pages work the same way. One page for each kind of work, finished jobs in photos, and a form that asks for the address and the size of the yard. After launch I send weekly search reports, so you can see which pages people reach.

How a Murfreesboro build goes

Estimated timeline Usually 2 to 3 weeks once I have your content

Photos and your service list are what slow a build down, not the code. I quote the timeline with the scope.

  1. Step 1: Tell me about the business

Fill in the short form. It takes about a minute. I ask what you sell, where in Rutherford County you work and who you want to hear from. I reply within 24 hours.

    Day 1

  2. Step 2: I plan the pages

You get a page list with one page for each job. Landlord and builder work get pages of their own, separate from homeowner work.

    Week 1

  3. Step 3: I build it, you review it

I send a link you can open on your phone. You mark what to change by reply or text. On a rebuild, your current site stays live until the new one is ready.

    Weeks 1 to 3

  4. Step 4: Launch, then keep going

Search Console and Analytics go in, the sitemap is submitted and the site goes live. The monthly plan starts: updates, a weekly report and new content.

    Launch, then every month

Murfreesboro in numbers

The Census Bureau estimated Murfreesboro at 168,387 people on July 1, 2024, up from 152,835 in April 2020. That is 15,552 more people and a 10.2% gain. Rutherford County added 6,266 residents in the year to July 1, 2025, second only to Davidson County among Tennessee counties, according to the Tennessee State Data Center.

Murfreesboro is the Rutherford County seat, 34 miles southeast of downtown Nashville. In the ZIP codes 37127 to 37130, the Census counted 95 HVAC, plumbing and electrical businesses with employees in 2023 (53 plumbing and HVAC, 42 electrical), plus 68 landscaping businesses and 9 roofing businesses. ZIP areas aren't city limits, and businesses with no employees aren't counted, so treat these as a floor.

What I'd build for Murfreesboro trades

These are plans, not past clients.

  • An HVAC company, in the biggest HVAC, plumbing and electrical pool of the five suburbs I checked. It needs a page for each kind of call, from no-cool repairs to system replacement, and a quote form that asks the age of the system.
  • An electrician who works for landlords and builders. One page for rental repairs, one for panel and service upgrades, and a contact line that says plainly what you do and what you don't.
  • A landscaping crew that covers the city and the county around it. Named areas, finished jobs, and an estimate form that asks for the address, so you aren't driving out to find out the job is two counties away.

The license rule in Rutherford County

Tennessee's Board for Licensing Contractors lists Rutherford among the nine counties where a home improvement license is required for residential work from $3,000 to $24,999. A contractor license applies to projects of $25,000 or more. The Board's page names driveways, porches, fences, landscaping and roofing among the improvements covered.

On a Rutherford County site, the license number goes where the customer is deciding: the footer, each service page and the estimate request. I read these pages on October 23, 2026. Confirm your own license type with the Board before you rely on this.

Downtown, the Square and visitors

Historic Downtown Murfreesboro wraps around the pre-Civil War courthouse, with shops and restaurants on the streets around it. Stones River National Battlefield is a national park site with a museum, so some of the people searching are visitors who have never been here. A downtown cafe or shop is a good fit for a Starter site: the menu or product list as text, hours that match the Google profile, and a map link that works from a phone.

A cafe near the Square and a roofer in a subdivision need different sites. I start from what you sell and who is searching, not from a template.

Working remotely from California

I'm based in Hollister, California. I have no Murfreesboro office or address. You don't need me in the room for a site: phone photos work, drafts arrive as links, and changes go by email or text.

One result, from a California client

  • 15 to 20 a month

Quote requests through Limo Scene's site form in August and September 2026 (Google Analytics), after its new domain started at zero in Search Console on April 30, 2026. Limo Scene is a California transportation company, not a Tennessee one. It is one client, and I can't promise your numbers.

Questions people ask

Can we meet in person in Murfreesboro?

No. I'm based in Hollister, California, and the work is remote: video calls, email and text. A site doesn't need anyone standing in your shop. Phone photos are enough to start, and drafts come as links you open on your phone.

I do residential jobs under $25,000 in Rutherford County. Does my site change?

It can. In Rutherford County, the home improvement license applies to residential work from $3,000 to $24,999, so a customer may look for it. I'd show your license number in the footer and on estimate requests. Confirm the details for your license type with the Board.

Can the form handle repair requests from landlords and tenants?

Yes. It can ask for the property address, the problem and how urgent it is, and send you the answers by email. A tenant and a landlord can use the same form, and you decide which jobs to take.

I work in Murfreesboro and Smyrna. Do I need a site for each?

No. Build one site, name both towns on it and keep one Google Business Profile with a service area. A second site would split your reviews and search history.
