Web Design for Nashville, TN Businesses

I build fast, custom-coded websites for businesses in Nashville and Davidson County. I'm based in Hollister, California, so the work is remote: video calls, email and text, at the same prices I quote everyone.

  • Remote work: video call, email and text
  • The same prices as every other customer

Why a Nashville business loses the call before it starts

  • A crowded county to stand out in

Davidson County has 369 HVAC, plumbing and electrical businesses with employees. When someone searches for one, a site that only says quality work and fair prices gives them nothing to choose by.

  • The license question

In Davidson County, Tennessee requires a home improvement license for residential work from $3,000 to $24,999. A careful customer may look for your license number before they call. If the site doesn't show it, they have to ask.

  • Nashville and surrounding areas

That phrase tells nobody whether you come out to Madison, Donelson or Antioch. A site that names the parts of the county you cover answers the question before it is asked.

What the site does for a Nashville customer

Each service you sell gets its own page: AC repair, a water heater swap, a panel upgrade, a sod and mulch job, a roof replacement. Each page says which parts of Davidson County you cover, shows your license number and ends in a short quote form. The request reaches your inbox with the service and the address already filled in.

Behind the pages I set up Search Console and Analytics, so you can see which searches bring people in. Your Google Business Profile should say the same things as the site. I can set it up as an add-on.

How a Nashville build goes

Estimated timeline Usually 2 to 3 weeks once I have your content

A site with a page for each service takes the longer end. I quote the timeline with the scope.

  1. Step 1: Tell me about the business

Fill in the short form. It takes about a minute. I ask what you sell and which parts of Davidson County you cover. If you have a site, I look at it. I reply within 24 hours.

    Day 1

  2. Step 2: I plan the pages

You get a page list: one page for each service and each area you cover. If you hold a license, we decide where the number goes.

    Week 1

  3. Step 3: I build it, you review it

I send a working link by email. You open it on your phone and tell me what to change. A video call is optional.

    Weeks 1 to 3

  4. Step 4: Launch, then keep going

I set up Search Console and Analytics, submit the sitemap and go live. On the Essential plan the monthly work starts: updates, a weekly report and new content.

    Launch, then every month

Nashville and Davidson County in numbers

Nashville-Davidson, the Census Bureau's "balance" figure that leaves out the smaller cities inside the county, had 704,963 residents on July 1, 2024, up 2.2% from the April 2020 estimates base. The county as a whole grew by about 9,300 people in the year to July 1, 2025, a 1.3% gain and the largest of any county in Tennessee, according to the Tennessee State Data Center.

Since 1963 Nashville and Davidson County have shared one metropolitan government. For a website, that means I treat Nashville as the whole county. The pages and the service-area line can name the parts you actually drive to, such as Madison, Donelson, Hermitage and Antioch.

In 2023 the Census Bureau counted 369 HVAC, plumbing and electrical businesses in Davidson County, 176 landscaping businesses and 53 roofing businesses. Those counts include only businesses with employees. The one-truck shop with no payroll isn't in them, so the real number of people you compete with is higher.

Three Nashville trades, and what I'd put on the page

These are plans, not past clients. They show how I'd match the site to the work.

  • HVAC, plumbing and electrical. A repair page puts the phone number first, because a broken furnace doesn't wait. An install or upgrade page puts the quote form first. A dead water heater and a panel upgrade are different searches and get different pages.
  • Landscaping. Finished jobs first, in photos. One page for each kind of work, and a form that asks for the address, the size of the yard and the time frame.
  • Roofing. Repair and replacement on separate pages, your license number in plain view, and an estimate form that asks the roof type and what is going on.

The Tennessee license rule that applies in Davidson County

The Tennessee Board for Licensing Contractors says a contractor license is required for projects of $25,000 or more. A home improvement license is required for residential remodeling from $3,000 to $24,999, but only in the counties that adopted that law. The Board lists nine: Bradley, Davidson, Hamilton, Haywood, Knox, Marion, Robertson, Rutherford and Shelby. Davidson is on the list, and the Board names landscaping and roofing among the improvements it covers.

For a Davidson County site, I'd put your license number in the footer, on the estimate request page and on the page for each service it covers. I read the Board's pages on October 23, 2026. The rules change, and this is not legal advice, so confirm your license type with the Board.

Working with a builder in California

I'm based in Hollister, California. I don't have a Nashville office or address, and I won't put one on your site. Nothing about a website build needs an in-person meeting. You send photos and details by email or text, I send you a link to a working draft, and we talk it through on a video call if that is easier than writing.

Tennessee is two hours ahead of me. I book calls around your day. If your business is in a smaller town near Nashville without its own page here, such as Nolensville (15,809 people in 2024), the same offer applies.

One result, from a California client

  • 15 to 20 a month

Quote requests through Limo Scene's site form in August and September 2026 (Google Analytics), after its new domain started at zero in Search Console on April 30, 2026. Limo Scene is a California transportation company, not a Tennessee one. It is one client, and I can't promise your numbers.

Questions people ask

Do you meet in person in Nashville?

No. I'm based in Hollister, California, and I work remotely: video calls, email and text. A website build doesn't need an in-person meeting, because the work is photos, details and drafts that move easily by email. If you want to talk something through, we book a video call.

Why hire a builder in California for a Nashville business?

Because a custom-coded site is the same whether I build it from Hollister or from a desk in Nashville. You get one person who writes the code and answers your messages, within 24 hours, at the price list on this page. If you want a designer you can sit across from, a Nashville studio is a fair choice, and I'd rather say so than pretend.

Does my license number have to be on my website?

The Board's license pages I read don't say what a website must display, so ask the Board about your license type. I'd still put the number in the footer and on estimate requests. In Davidson County, a home improvement license applies to residential work from $3,000 to $24,999, and a customer may look for it.

I work in Davidson and Williamson counties. Do I need two sites?

No. One site can name both counties and keep one Google Business Profile with a service area. The Board's list of home improvement license counties includes Davidson but not Williamson, so your license number matters most on the Davidson County pages.
